Goodwill Makeover!

I found these beauties at Goodwill last week for $1.99 (together) and could not wait to whip out my spray paint! They were such a great color, but chipped and a little worn. Plus the blue didn't really feel cohesive with everything else in my living room so.....

Ta da! They are so pretty as white - but looking back now I am slightly regretting changing their color! Maybe I'll, paint them again....

I also found this pretty dish at Goodwill for $2.99 I believe.

It is so pretty now, the picture does it no justice! I do think it needs another coat of gloss however.

SIDE NOTE***Tina this is for you! I got your comment but had no way to reply to you so here you go!

I use valspar spray paint and it is wonderful but I'm sure most would be fine. With the glass I used a primer spray paint for the first coat. If you go to your local home depot or lowes and look at there spray paint selection the primers will each say what they work best on and ta da!

I didn't really know if it would work out the best or not, but I knew I wouldn't want to keep it if it wasn't a different color so I went for it anyway! :D

I am OBSESSED with Goodwill & spray paint! I get so excited to go there. The Goodwills & a "Thrifttown" (which has a way better selection than Goodwill) stores in San Antonio where I'm from are way better than the selection here in Spring, TX...but I live down the street from a Goodwill. That's dangerous!

If you want to know why I may not be going there as often...check my latest post. Made me sad :/ Not all Goodwill employees are awesome, I tell you.

Great finds & transformations! :)

LOL I know what you mean about the Goodwill employees! But I suppose that can be said about everywhere you go!

Thanks for stopping by my blog!

Spray paint is our friend! What amazing things we can do with it! Yours are great. I especially love the bowl that you say does not show as well as it looks. It looks like vintage milk glass to me. Perfect!

Hi....just linked over to your blog from "A soft place to land". I am also a big fan of spray paint and have a ton of projects to complete. I have a question--stupid me did not know that you could paint glassware...what brand (kind) of paint do you use?? Ohhh I could have a ton more projects if you answer my question. :o) That could be good or bad! LOL Thanks

Jessica...

Thank you soooo much for getting me the info on the paint. I am planning a trip to the Home Depot tomorrow to look for it. I even made a side trip to the Goodwill today and found a couple additional treasures to PAINT!

Thanks again..... ~Tina
