So I forgot to take a 'good' picture of the desk for you guys after we finished the little project on it, but here is what I have. I LOVE the way the desk turned out. It looks SO pretty and fits much better with our decor now.
Here it is!
Such a beauty. We had just finished it so I'm not sure what I will put on/over/in it etc. It is naked as a jail bird right now. Also, as you can probably tell by the gifts stashed on it this was taken the day of my shower.
What do you think?

Hi! I recently bought a roll top desk that looks like this: http://greensboro.craigslist.org/fuo/2510954828.html (but not the price!)
What would you suggest to do first? Wet sanding or traditional sanding (and what grit)?
I'm totally new to this, and am in deep need of help... >.< Thank you~
