Lot's going on around here!

So I haven't posted since Feb 16th! Wow. I'm a slacker. I have a lot going on and I plan on letting you all in on it very soon.

First off. I do finally have my very own office and it is coming together! I moved in Friday and it is SO exciting! I have a lot of posts I need to do regarding my office, but we will get to that soon.

On another note however, if you have small children you may have experienced the following story a time or two. I will spare you the details and just tell you that my two year old peed ALL OVER my practically brand new beautiful duvet cover.

UGH.

You may be thinking "so what? just wash it." Well....

My sweet hubby trying to help, removed the duvet cover to wash it and unkowingly also washed my sundress in with the duvet cover.

An emerald green sundress that had yet to have ever been washed.

Yes. You guessed it. I now have a white and emerald green spotted duvet cover. Not really my style my friends.

So....I am now on the hunt for something new. I want to stay with white because I LOVE love my bedding all white and comfy cozy like that.

My current duvet/comforter is from IKEA and is King size. I'm hoping that it is standard size and will fit an duvet cover....

Here is something I like:

(via)
I love the 'kissing pleat'. So pretty, but it is a comforter and not a duvet cover.
My question for you guys is do you duvet? Have you ever used one, do you have one now? Also, where to buy? Know of any good sites that have great prices or something you think I would like?

All of your input is greatly appreciated so comment away please!!! :D

I had a duvet and duvet cover at one point... it only lasted about 6 months though b/c I couldn't stand the duvet constantly shifting around in the cover. It was too big of a pain in the butt for me! I've decided if I ever find a duvet cover that I cannot pass up b/c it's too beautiful, I will just tack it to the duvet with a few X stitches on the corners and sides & cut the stitches when I need to wash it. How did you keep yours from bunching?(Ya know, before it was all peed on and green, haha! I feel for you, lady!)

Hi, sorry to hear about the duvet casualty. I love duvets and have never had the problem of shifting covers underneath. I usually buy a primaloft comforter (Target or Company Store). I have a duvet from West Elm that is really similar to your Target find. Check them out -- they have great bedding. Good luck, Jessica!

Oh the peed duvet story is funny:):) but sorry to have it ruined.. also the dress..(are you already wearing dresses?? i bet you have nice weather then:)
anyway.. we have some sort of duvet, but here in Germany there's this trend that each has its own.. so you barely find queen or king size duvets or covers.. so yeah living that drama:P
Waiting for the office reveal!:)
Happy Monday and here's my post today!

I have that pleated comforter and love it. I got it at Target on sale. I like having white cause it can be bleached. I'm not a fan of duvets because they always shift.
